It's a great day to be a Westview Bulldog!

Westview Elementary is an excellent neighborhood school with a strong sense of community. In our self-contained classrooms, students receive rigorous academic instruction from passionate and compassionate teachers. We provide integrated learning experiences in reading, writing, word study, math, science, social studies, technology and health with real-world application. The involvement of families in the learning community is essential. We have a history of volunteerism by parents and guardians who give tirelessly of their time and talents to enrich the school experience. You are invited to become actively involved in your child’s education and true partners with us.

Mission: Provide students with the basic skills needed to become lifelong learners and help them feel good about themselves, fulfill their unique potentials and become contributing members of society.

We offer many support and specialist programs to assist students in reaching their highest potential. Staff work collaboratively to provide a positive, encouraging atmosphere where relevant learning thrives and relationships flourish.

We are Bulldog S.T.R.O.N.G

Bulldog Strong is our school's positive behavior plan. We teach, model, expect and reward strong minds, strong bodies and strong character. Teachers start each year by building classroom community, which includes reviewing the acronym that guides our interactions each day throughout the year. All staff are constantly on the lookout for children who are demonstrating Bulldog Strong behaviors, trying to catch them in the act of doing the right thing, even when they think nobody is watching.

Bulldog Strong tickets are accumulated for classroom rewards that students and teachers select together, such as game time, lunch in the classroom, a special project, extra recess, and so on.

S - Self-control
T - Teamwork
R - Respect
O -Ownership
N - Noble actions
G - Gratitude
